Pues yo creo que no, cada vez chupará más máquina y aunque se renueve el parque irá siempre igual o más lento que ahora, y sino tiempo al tiempo, es lo de siempre, te hacen creer que cada vez necesitas más máquina, no veo a openoffice como una opción interesante, creo que abiword y otras alternativas cómo aedit serán mejor que openoffice. Por cierto alguien sabe algo de los de aedit, axart:
